Operation Christmas Child has long been a favorite service project here at Heritage. How we serve looks different from year to year, but this year we are proud to have packed over 100 boxes as a church family! On the first of December, the Heritage Youth and some parents went down to the packing center to deliver our boxes and to help prepare boxes for their shipment to children all around the world. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church (that's us!) worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. Packing shoe boxes full of little toys and some necessities is not only fun for the whole family and a great way to teach children about giving, but when these boxes are delivered, they are packed with the best gift of all - the gospel!
